About this experience

Get ready to drop knees at the Wenatchee Telemark Festival (WTF) in January 2024! This two-day event is a gathering of the tele tribe from the greater Pacific Northwest, where free heelers and the tele-curious come together for a celebration of the art of tele turns.

Inspired by the likes of European telemark festivals such as La Skieda, Black Shoes, and TelemarkOnly, this event aims to bring the same spirit and excitement to the Pacific Northwest telemark community.

The event is all inclusive - telemark or just rip it up on whatever plank you prefer - alpine, snowboarders and tele-curious are welcome to try tele or just shred along!

The festival will begin Saturday afternoon with NTN gear demos and beginner classes (advance gear reservation recommended). Welcome party with food, drink, band, and a great time at Igloo/Midway is to wrap up the evening.

Sunday events include telemark gear demos, clinics for intermediate and advanced tele skiers, race(s), costume competition, and human slalom, just to name a few - you are welcome to participate in any and all of these activities. 

The race will be individual as well as team-based - we are stoked to see a bunch of crews representing their local mountains compete in the event!

The event will wrap up on Sunday night with the Sunset at the Top of Chair 2. As the golden hour hits and the sun starts its descent, we gather at the summit, soaking in insane 360-degree mountain views (weather gods willing).

If you're not ready to hang up your boots just yet, we are thinking of an informal get-together at a spot TBD later in the evening after some night skiing.

So gather your tele crew (or come make new friends), wax up those skis, and mark your calendar for the Wenatchee Telemark Festival on January 20-21, 2024. It's time to get your tele on and immerse yourself in a weekend of tele heaven that'll leave you shouting, "WTF, that was epic!”

We are still very much in the planning phase for the festival and there will be other rad things at the event to keep your tele stoke high!
